We are delighted to announce that we are hosting an event for this year’s Refugee Festival Scotland to mark the 25 year milestone of the festival! In partnership with Refugee Festival Scotland , Kinning Park Complex , Glasgow Community Food Network and That’s Yer Dinner we present, ‘Milestones and Meals: Celebrating Milestones Through Food and Story’.
This one-off event will celebrate the amazing work created during recent cooking and writing workshops, held as part of Refugee Festival Scotland. The asylum seeking and refugee participants explored this year’s festival theme ‘Milestones’ through food and writing.
Come along to enjoy delicious hot food, browse an exhibition (featuring photography, illustrations and written work) and pick up a beautifully designed cookbook to try the dishes at home. This event is a joyful celebration of culture, creativity and community with an opportunity to recognise the journeys and voices of those who have found safety calling Scotland home.
Come hungry and bring your friends, this event is open to all that would like to enjoy good food and inspiring art works – we can’t wait to see you there!
