Creative Writer
Refugee Sanctuary Scotland are looking for an experienced Creative Writer to facilitate a creative writing and storytelling workshop, as part of a celebration of Refugee Festival Scotland.
Are you an experienced creative writer who would be interested in working with asylum seekers and refugees, helping them to tell their story? We are looking for someone to host 2 x 3-hour workshops at Kinning Park Complex.
The 2 workshops will take place on the same day, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.
Dates:
Workshop date: Monday 28th April 2025.
Deadline Date: Tuesday 1st April 2025 at 12pm.

Interviews will take place online via video call on Tuesday 8th April 2025.
This is a paid position with rates in line with the Scottish Artists Union guidelines.

Photographer
Refugee Sanctuary Scotland are looking for an experienced Photographer to attend two events over the coming months, as part of a celebration of Refugee Festival Scotland.
The first event would involve attending our cooking and creative writing workshops at Kinning Park Complex, to capture some of the moments experienced there. The second event would be an all-day event at the same venue – again, with the intention to capture the moments and experiences created there. Please note, you must be available for both dates.
Dates:
First Event: Monday 28th April 2025.
Second Event: TBC between 13-22nd June 2025.
Deadline Date: Tuesday 1st April 2025 at 12pm.

Graphic Designer
Refugee Sanctuary Scotland are looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to curate and design a printed book showcasing photos from food and creative writing workshops attended by asylum seekers and refugees. These photos will include food photography, photos of creative writing artwork along with photos of participants taking part in the workshops.
In addition to the book design, we also require large-scale images to be designed and blown up to be displayed as part of an exhibition.
This project will be showcased at our event at Kinning Park Complex as part of this year’s Refugee Festival Scotland in June 2025.
Dates:
TBC May 2025 (the workshops will take place in late April and we require the designs to be completed by early June)
