To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’d like to share our recent trip to Mackintosh Tea Rooms.
A group of six asylum seeking women were given a guided tour of the historic Mackintosh Tea Rooms in Glasgow City Centre, including an art workshop with some beautiful cakes and tea to end the day.
See below for photos from the day!
Some feedback from one of the women that attended the event,
‘The tea room’s blend of styles, including nods to the Suffragettes, was beautiful. The tour brought their stories to life. I left feeling inspired by their achievements and grateful for the connections made. We also did amazing paintings, learning new techniques that were really relaxing. To top it off, we visited the museum, which was full of inspiration
I’m so appreciative for the day ❤️’
